Riding Through The Desert Mountains In Fuerteventura To Cofete Beach

I am taking my gravel bike on a little adventure through the sand wind "Calima". Fuerteventura is a gravel heaven for all who don't shy away from hiking a bike through the mountains in the south. It's hilly, rocky, sandy but still one of the most fascinating and special landscapes to ride your bike. The ride to Cofete leads us over a mountain range in the middle of nowhere. Featured: Papas Arrugadas and me who can't eat without having food all over me.

I am due to arrive in Fuerteventura for my 10th visit next Monday. I love cycling out there, it kick starts my cycling season, quiet roads, smooth tarmac, variety of flats and climbs. I like to ride up Betancuria at least once per visit, the views are amazing and it gives a real sense of achievement.
