I wish I would've seen you guys in the Black Hills. I totaled my bike on June 21st this year and was hurt pretty bad. Insurance paid out well and I picked up a 22 RG. I was able to make the trip and rode almost 3k miles between the trip there and back and all the riding there although I still had a broken arm. Love the content and hope to see you guys on the road sometime.

For comparison only, did the same trip from 118 and Balboa to Sturgis in July this year, didn't take the bike. 2015 VW Passat tdi turbodiesel .... first fill up... Fillmore, UT, name seemed appropriate! You guys have too much fun! Your ride trip has inspired me to get a new 1100 Africa Twin.

Thanks David!! Good times for sure. Sometimes we'll rock a vest with spine protection, but when its 105+ degrees, there's only so much one can wear while staying comfortable and clear headed on the road. Gear is the safer bet of course, but that's just how we roll sometimes. See ya for episode 2!

What's up, Rodney! The Green Road King has a Pelican 2620 Storm case mounted to a 2-Up Cobra Tour Pack rack. Josh has made a quick release setup so that the rack stays on the bike when the case comes off, but for a simple mounting setup, you can just bolt the case to the tour pack rack from the inside. That's awesome! We've done the trips on bikes with 60k+ miles on them and our buddy Dom that comes with us has taken the trip tons of times on his 05 Dyna that has at least 65k miles and aside from a wheel bearing has been good every year. Just make sure you're up on your maintenance and you should be good to go. 25k is brand new😎

On our first day out to Sturgis we got caught in all that rain you saw north of Vegas. My bike quit a couple times from the rain. Then another rider first punctured his oil filter then had a blowout on his front tire. But we made it!

Crazy! We definitely saw tons of people heading the other way on the 15. Gotta get that rain sock on in time to the bike doesn't bog out aha. Bummer about the tire blowout, but hopefully it didn't set y'all back too far. All a part of the journey!

Enjoyed the Thrashin vids but I relate to your vibe a bit more. Really looking forward to your vids on Sturgis. Q. Do you guys have a specific etiquette when you ride together with respect to lanes and overtakes etc? You do loads of awesome shots going past each other and you all look super comfortable being close on the road. I only ask as I don't ride in groups much so it's not something I have experience in.

We rarely have new riders in the group, especially to Sturgis, so everyone in the group has learned each other's riding body language and style over thousands and thousands of miles together. We're also all connected on our Cardo headsets and are constantly communicating about where we're at and what our plans for a shot are... "passing on your left and cutting in front...fly by me on my left"...etc..) which makes things a lot safer. Everyone in the group is competent and comfortable, so there's rarely "sketchy" moments even with the type of riding we do. Hope that sums it up. Thanks for watching!

Even kind of a trip for us to watch both and see the differences. The run & gun style filming Lance Jr does definitely makes it easier and more natural to capture the candid stuff, we're working on getting better at that.
