Riding with the train driver from Utrecht to Alkmaar. (without speedometer)

Looking over the shoulder of a train driver on the route from Utrecht Centraal via Amsterdam Centraal to Alkmaar.
It is a wonderful afternoon to ride along on the intercity that leaves Utrecht Centraal at 15:59, the sky is still grey but it clears up as we go. It is already getting quite dark when we arrive at Alkmaar at 17:03.
On the way we stop at Amsterdam Amstel, Amsterdam Centraal, Amsterdam Sloterdijk, Zaandam and Castricum. After Amsterdam Muiderpoort we also see the fly-over that has already made considerable progress and that should limit crossing train traffic to a minimum in the future.
