one of the greatest directors in history, inspiration for Cameron and Nolan as well....along with mainstream movies, also takes up risky material like Kingdom of Heaven and Last Duel.

This movie is hilarious. Pure propaganda The end quote: 19 US soldiers "lost their lives" and 1000 somalians "got killed" (about 650 of which were civilains) The UN went in and saved their asses. Quote from a UN soldier "The rangers were cornered up crying for mama and asking to Please get us out of here! Yet in the film the Americans did everthing on their own ofcourse. The guy Ewan Mcgregor played is now serving a 30 year sentence for raping a 12 year old child. Movie fails to mention that a month before the events in the film the US already went in with choppers and blew up a building to kill the Warlord they were after. 75 somalian people dead and the guy wasn't even there. No wonder people got scared the next time they saw those choppers coming in. US soldiers are depicted as spending all their free time playing chess, drawing childrens books (seriously) and crack jokes while the somalians (skinniess lol) only love firing guns and only seem to be smiling when they do something nasty. Eric bana's character "Hoot" final quote (while munching om chewing gum: 'You see (munch munch) we're not some war junkies. No. (munch) it's all about making the world (munch) a better place and (munch munch) being there for your fellow man. That's (munch munch) that's all there is " It's an extended war commercial and absolutely it's hilarious 😂🤣

The event you refer too was 3 months before Black Hawk Down, July 12th 1993, the "Abdi house attack" or known better in Somalia as "Bloody Monday"

Regradless of the seriousness of the reality of the true events, it’s still a fantastic movie in of itself. And the guy wasn’t drawing “children’s books” he was some kickass illustrations for his kid that he was drawing for. Get your facts straight for that one. But it’s still a great movie regardless.

@@tovannirenteria2719 yeah propaganda that's always the thing with anti-war protesters like you and Datatsushi (The main person who made the comment) always saying that war movies are propaganda yet if other countries does these kind of movies in real life despite inaccuracy you don't go against it. Now before you go all I kiss Uncle Sam's war rear and support American wars no absolutely not and neither is the U.N. also innocent to mainly due to the fact that their political decisions are the main reasons why parts of North Africa continues to fall. Because this movie just shows the mistakes made by the American government since the Vietnam War and ironically look at the aftermath of the War on Terror by the Americans it just failed big time talk about irony.
