Rietta Ranch Flea Market ~ Diamond REO Leach Sanicruiser Rear Loader (50,000 Subscriber Special)

First off I want to thank all my subscribers for getting me over 50,000. Onto the video Here is one of the coolest trucks I've filmed. There are not many Diamond REO's that are still on the road daily, this one works 26 Sundays a year at the Rietta Ranch Flea Market in Hubbardston, Mass picking up the trash after the flea market ends. On another note Leach Sanicruisers are a rairity nowadays, there are not to many left and definitely not many that are still running. This truck originally was owned by the neighboring city of Gardner, Mass. Thanks to all the awesome people over at the Rietta Ranch Flea Market for letting me film their classic truck.

Have a 1969 Diamond Reo with a 20 cubic yard Leach on the back and it still works 3-4 days a week here in Brooklyn , NY.....

Hello thanks for the leach diamond reo sandcruser video I remember those diamond REO garage trucks very well when I lived up north back in the years of 70-80 lots of local rubbish companies had diamond REO with leach sandcrusier rear loader body one company I remember very well named was dee's incorporated they was the town of hamden.ct. garage hauler for over 25 or more years before being bought out but also the. Old diamond reo sound like a old gas job but sound great Diamond REO also had diesel motor. In some. Reos also thanks keeping diamond REO history alive I be looking👀 forward to seeing more of your videos 👍👍👍

Worked on a Sanicruiser along with a couple of newer Leach R-2 in the early 80's. Solid Old School Rear packer and knocked the socks of the belt driven Garwood that was leftover from the mid 70's. Leach is still the King of the rear load system....Awesome to see that Sanicruiser still going strong 💪....Brings back great memories of High School Summers in the Early 80's✅

HI great video very very cool older and vintage trash truck still running great and sounds great and looks great in 2021 they should give it a nice coat of fresh paint . and take it to car and truck shows and swap meets it would get a lot of attention that it is still running and operating on the road.

Yeah my Father in North Dakota used to drive one like that except it was a tandem..he did that work for 47 years..he's 72 now but he looks like he's on his early 50's

I was told. 1965 by the driver but leach didn’t come out with the Sanicruiser until 1970 so I’m Not sure

I see the bulldozer blade is 10 degrees in inclination to the right on left section but still operable. Good to calibrate the bulldozer blade mounting

Anybody know whether this truck had a hopper door that automatically opened and closed during packing that simply wore out and needed to be taken down?

Lol, try working on mid 70’s GarWood belt driven twin blade. The Leach Sanicruiser was light years ahead. Leach II- R-2 was Star Wars stuff in the Early 80’s. Very cool Old Truck, great trip back into the past💕✅
