Congrats to the winners, but, to be honest, just my opinion and completely excluding my entry, there were waay better entries for this one that deserved more the awards. A 'riff contest' with 5 of the 6 winners not focusing at all on a "riff" - solos, combination of chords and progressions that were not memorable... The only one that actually got focused on a riff is the 1st place. You can't have a set of rules, a "Riff" contest in this case, and win with not following the rule and soloing over chords. I understand that I'll get hate for that comment, I am fine with that, but please market your next contest with a better wording (some of the winners here would be eligible for a "short song" or a "shreding" contest) because most of the entries dedicated a lot of time and effort for the creation of a riff that would win this.

Neural DSP started that thing. never had an idea how they picked up winners, probably via some randomizer. I also think they don`t watch every entry but maybe first several days and maybe something in the middle and in the end at best.

I`d like to ask about workflow with IR`s at mastering stage. They`re already mix ready and sound perfect, but then I add some mastering Eq to improve the song overall and even a small thing changes the guitar tone. So what should I do? Using some negative Eq on guitars to compensate it? Or what do pros do?
