Hey, great demo! How do you mute single strings within chords? Like in the 4th chord of the progression where you mute only the A string

Yes, the pick attack feature makes strumming more natural than other shreddage versions, that's why Hydra becomes my favorite. I don't know, maybe I'm just obsessed with strumming feature in VST guitars. The first thing I try to find out in VST guitars is how is the strumming sound, it's silly but somehow I'm just happy if I could replicate guitar strumming haha

There's a lot of automation going on. I could not have that much patience. The hand position, the chugs, the pick attack, how much time did it take?

If I already know what I need to write in piano roll usually it take 15 minutes - 1 hour to write all notes and the articulation, depends on the song duration. But if I want to experimenting something new, it could be finish in hours or never ending hahah

Hi man, for palm mute you can use low velocity if you using default TACT. But if you are using key switch TACT the key switch is C#-1 or E-1 (chords mute) and F#-1 for the choke. The E-1 is an extra option for mute, you can mute chords or single notes using C#-1. Muted strum using the same key switch, so if you want to mute the strum, just write C#-1 (key switch TACT) or lower the velocity (default TACT) then write the strum key switch (G#5 - B5) the strum will mute Or maybe you can follow these video, same concept kzbin.info/www/bejne/hV7CdZidrdOMg5o or kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4e9g6ltiq2Vjtk

What's the LFO doing? Is that directly affecting a CC parameter in Hydra called pick attack or how does it work?

Yes the LFO control pick attack, the idea is to create more dynamic strums

@@bitkaster I see below that you are looking for the perfect strum like I am. :D I own a lot of virtual guitars as well. Is this still your favorite Guitar VST? Also, I see in Google they have now added the pick attack to all the Shreddage 3 Guitars.

Somehow I obsessed with a good strumming sound on virtual guitar haha, yeah that's weird. For heavily distorted music yes, the hydra is my favorite, for me, this is a nearly perfect virtual guitar for now. I don't know why but I really interested in how far technology can emulating human behavior like playing instruments like guitar etc, maybe that's why I always looking for prefect strumming sound :D

I hope so, either physical modeling or there is a new way to create more expressive guitar plugins. Maybe Toontrack will step in into guitar VST after the EZbass release to complete their EZ line or SWAM, who knows.
