I thoroughly enjoyed all of this. You guys are like best friend brothers, not uncle and nephew. It was so interesting to hear the teaching perspective. I laughed at many things, including "embrace the suck". Mike, you've really found the great balance in the website's lessons between teaching basics and then having fun with a song "in the style of". I picked up my first guitar at age 65 and now 3 years later, I have learned so much. It's fun. It's relaxing. I practice between 1 and 3 hours per day and I can get impatient with myself. An older brain takes longer to process new things, especially not having a musical bone in my body. I can't imagine how great it would be to have in-person lessons with either of you guys. Thank you for doing this video.

Yess!! Have been looking forward to this one 🙂. Love the new intro! Congrats on 895k Subscribers! Just 5k more till 900k and then the big 1 Million next! 🤘🏻🔥 Just finished watching. This was soo good. Really interesting hearing everything you talked about from 2 different perspectives. I could relate to a lot and even what I couldn't directly relate to exactly, I got/ understood and it still resonated with me in a big way. I'll definitely have the wisdoms from this podcast going round my head for at least the next week, especially from the teaching/ student aspects you discussed. Being an older learner myself and because of how I am as a student/ person in general, I learn best in a certain way, and that's taken years to find out and get to know, so my journey so far has been an interesting one. It's been amazing seeing Jaeden create his videos, i'm really enjoying them, they get better each time. Both your videos and his continue to inspire ideas of my own. I'm quietly working away researching and trying to learn things here and there. I keep a notebook/ folder, I'm hand writing everything down to put in there to refer back to (i'm old school in that respect as well, I love to use pen and paper) although I do keep a note app on my phone as well. I hope Jaeden watches the movies you recommended and enjoys them/ learns something from them. I've seen all of them, rewatched Whiplash just yesterday in fact. Loving this Riffin' series, I'm sure it won't be long before Bruce Kulick and other awesome guests will be able to join you in the studio.

I loved your discussion of teaching different generations. I am a gen X and just signed up for guitar lessons here in Boston where I live. Your channel is an inspiration.

When Mario 64 came out that was the most mind blowing for me. It was so much fun when Mario was not a scroller/linear game anymore. It blew my mind that you could go in any direction and explore.. half the fun was to see how far the edge the board would go.

And finally we could mix Dirty Diancha with Nothing Else Matters, because what the cab driver would really remember about that joy ride with the guys at Richmond?! Is the eating mussels factor that matters or is just my scoliosis, Paul? Is heavy weight good for Julian?! Carrots, uh?! Well, I don't know. Namastè.

I always just charged for 4 weeks at a time. You're making less money by skipping a 5th lesson. But, if you don't need that money, that's up to you.
