@fabioriato8 жыл бұрын
+tuertodsc Then you should listen more to Megadeth. Dave Mustaine can sing AND play like that in most of their songs. Not unusually the singing and riffing are very independent from each other, and you just can't believe how he manages to do both at the same time.
@dannyboy7858 жыл бұрын
I wondered the same thing. Chords and easy riffs sure, but to sing while playing some of these is insane talent

It's not that hard once the riffs and rhythm is embedded in your mind. The problem is knowing how to sing haha.

Wait is that a 22 fret guitar? How did you play that 24th fret note during that solo?
@mitcheoj9 жыл бұрын
By bending the 22nd fret up a whole step you get the pitch of the 24th fret, I believe
@EvanSchatz9 жыл бұрын
I think the game can detect how many frets you have and is generous? Or maybe just generous on high bends because on Hangar 18 there's a bend on the 24th fret that I can play on my 22 fret guitar, the little tremolo bend at the end of the last solo

+1983electric Yes it is but the really cool thing about Rocksmith is no matter where you play on neck, if notes are same it still registers as a good note. There are a few others that I play the way I learned it but I also learn a lot from game. This song here I am 97% rhythm but the lead as played here will take a lot of riff repeating for me....

Out of curiosity - and I've noticed this on your Dream Theater playthroughs, too - is there a reason why the game cuts some of the song out, especially before solos, etc.? I suspect it's to give you a breather before/after you have a hand workout, but that's not really true to the song at that point, is it? Is it a setting, by chance, or does the game force you to do it no matter what?
@Otacustes8 жыл бұрын
It's switching between lead and rhythm sections. Gives the lead guitarist time to prepare themselves and get in rhythm for the solo, while the rhythm guitarist continues playing the riff.
@bkpickell4 жыл бұрын
I know this is an old post, but thought I would answer anyway. It's the way it's done during live performances as well. If you've ever been to a Megadeth concert you could have watched Marty back in the day do the exact same thing. He would be playing rhythm and pause for a couple bars and then play the solo, and again pause for a couple bars and start playing rhythm again. So to answer your question, yes it's true to the song, since that's the way the artists play it. If you've ever watched Kiko play this song he actually plays less notes than what they are showing in the tabs here. So there is that.

4:39 Why didn't they chart the harmonics? Looks weird just as muted notes. Or did they put them in the rhythm section?
@Orion3T9 жыл бұрын
+Zooropa_Station They did chart them - they are scratches not clean harmonics. That's the scatch symbol (I think - hard to tell them apart sometimes).
@stevenrjackson2139 жыл бұрын
+Zooropa_Station My guess would be that detection of harmonics is pretty iffy, particularly once you get away from the first two harmonics (and there's also the issue that some harmonics don't lie exactly on a fret, which is hard to show in Rocksmith). A fret hand mute with the fingering shown was probably the best compromise they could find between sound and note detection.
@Orion3T9 жыл бұрын
Steven Jackson My impression from the original is that it's multiple harmonics which is basically a scratch, which is what they suggest. There is emphasis on the higher strings but I agree what they used is as close as they will likely get.
@VoidSixx9 жыл бұрын
+Orion3T Not sure but it looks like an empty window to me, which just means play the previous chord :L I think putting a harmonic there it might still detect it, but idk tbh.
