I do feel like Amanda doesn't know what the tapes have done to people such as Joanne's brother, but when she does I feel like she will end up helping the player take down the true villain of the game.

Something I find really odd is the one scene where you give the creature a wooly doll. The creatures breathing starts speeding up as if in a panic and runs after hearing a loud roar from a distance. I think wooly’s playing victim in the first game and making him seem like the good guy while Amanda’s the crazy lunatic. Amanda and the creature might have a connection between each other. There’s also a secret scene in the first game where a boy is watching Amanda the adventurer and then suddenly disappears while something in the background is blurry but you can see something. What if in the first game, Amanda thinks wooly is the key to escaping her prison inside a television show slowly driving her into insanity intill she realizes the truth. What if wooly is a monster who got trapped inside the tapes and if freed, he will feed on the souls of the his victims. The lore ideas are endless.

The possums is obviously joanne’s brother. She literally said that her brother is trapped in the tapes which relates to why the possum has been more self aware in the tapes and tries to call out for her. Kate is already dead in the car crash. It wouldn’t make sense for Kate to be the possum when joanne’s brother is stuck in the tapes.
