As top8 xin this season I would say that it’s much better to go resolve runes with vamp rune, and dont get trinity. The best build so fare that I have tested is: vamp boots, ghostblade, BT, mortal. Then it’s situational. Most games I go collector and last item whatever you need. Against ap assassins of heavy ap team you build Maw after Mortal. Or antishield if you need. Feel free to check the build. Somewhere in top10 nickname Bushido.

I think collector fits the full dmg builds that go for mortal reminder since it's the only item that provides crit for the 50% 40AD (not bad) armor pen and secures 5% of enemies hp ( late game every champ is over 2k so at least 100 dmg). It's not amazing at anything but provides you with a lot of stuff you need in the same item slot

I feel like Collector is good against sustain champions, if you can get them low enough, the execute mechanic stops the healing in its tracks and secures you the kill. I don’t think you see Collector outside of Solo Que in anyone’s serious build though. Whenever I build it, it’s a little cheeky moment for sure. Kind of a meme at this point lol. I feel like duskblade is a better lethality item instead of it, but who am I to go against the fan boy masses 8:42

People will often misjudge their health when you have collecter. I've executed more than one trynd before they could ult, and it becomes way easier to bait his ult.

The resolve tree on Xin Zhao is so underrated. People clearly dont understand the champion if they dont use it... he has so much mobility and attack speed without items, and his passive healing makes the resolve tree almost unkillable tank without items... its painful seeing people use "offensive" runes and making him much weaker then resorting to tank items 😂 not only is he much weaker, hes much easier to kill.. its like they have an allergy for maths
