Met Phil, he is just a fantastic person, NAM show one year and I quite literally bumped into him at the Jackson booth. I happened to be holding a PC1. He sat down and went over the guitar with me, just a great guy and a great player. Love seeing him continuing to be successful

He's tuned to E flat, so they're similar to 11's in E. I use 12's tuned to D, which are almost dead on to 10.5 sets. If your playing style is really hard and you beat a guitar (like me) they work great. Otherwise light strings sound horrible when you beat them hard. But....every one plays what woks for them....no two are alike.

Me too! I was always a huge DL fan since High & Dry, have seen them eight times in concert since ‘83. But more of a casual fan the past 20 years. Altogether quite disappointing. And yet, the next person may love the thing, get great results. This is why I love what we do...

Phil has great tone. Hard to duplicate the Rockman sound that he used on Hysteria without actually using one live though. Best clean sound ever, even better than a Roland Jazz Chorus, is a Rockman. Just listen to Hysteria.

I've bought a couple of Jackson's recently and had them in the past.. I've seen Ibanez and others, but it's Jackson I gravitate towards. I bought 2 used Jacksons off ebay a JS32 Dinky which needs a new bridge and I've Dimarzio's I'll get put in. It's now become my go to guitar.. The other jackson I bought was a Jackson JS32 Kelly.. No doubt I'll swap those pickups out for Dimarzio's.. Dimarzio Tone Zone (bridge) and Air Norton (neck).. I've a Tokai Love Rock which has got Dimarzio Super Distortion (bridge) & Super 2 (neck) both humbuckers coil tapped.

I like it when they interview the techs but its cool when the star players like Phil are not to big headed to do the interview. Very cool. 👍🏻😎
