I really liked this rig rundown, these guys are minimalist and efficient. I relate to Alex's approach to his sound and how it dictates what gear he needs. Too many musicians forget that after a point the gear is more tool than toy. This rundown may not have been as flashy as some others, but I really enjoyed the spartan approach. Thanks PG!

Hi Eric and friend to PG.Eric you should recomeback to 100 watts because it's really more heavy than 50 , the fremquencies are better with the 100 , the sound is more full with 100.The volume is more easy to adjust with 50 watts. The 100 watts are more tight also.

Does anyone know what amps, pedals, settings, etc. Eric and Alex were using on the first "Legacy" album? That tone on that album is prolly the most scooped "hollowed out / metallic" thrash tone I've ever heard. I'd love to know what the trick was to get that sound. In the MTV video, it's showing Marshall heads, but not sure if that's what they were using. Now, albeit, I've seen early footage of their live shows during 1987/88, live in Eindhoven, etc. and it looks like Marshall JCM 900 heads and standard 1960-A/B Lead cabs, but there's just too much gain, hollow, and scoop for it that tone to JUST be a stock JCM900. Anyways, let me know guys! Thanks in advance!

How is a flying V hard to play siting down? Personally I don't like the V shape, or many, in any 'modern' shapes, but it is very comfortable to sit with a flying V resting on one leg and between them. There's no where on the neck that's a problem to reach. Infact, you probably have to slightly manoeuvre a more traditional shape more than a V to access different parts of the neck.
