California rockers Rival Sons recently performed at the Clyde Theatre in Fort Wayne just down the road from Sweetwater HQ. Drummer Mike Miley was kind enough to give us a tour of his rig. Miley shows off his reissue of Pearl‘s 1966 President series shells, then talks about his preference for aluminum snares and his relationship with Pearl. Mike is a true aficionado with an encyclopedic knowledge of drum history and famous players‘ gear. One of my favorite drummers. No frills... just knows how to lay down a good groove. His drums sounds on the records are amazing, especially the kicks. Rival Sons will kick your ass and wanting more.
