I will never look at the star in Orion the same way.

I have seen that part sticking out from the sea with my own eyes. My dad often went fishing around there, I tagged along in the boat one time, I were just a child. But I remember well that frontend of Rigel, that tomb, sticking out of that automnday sea...Horrific it was, and I remember it vividly! It's not far from where I come from you see...

@@realoldbeardedguy I was a trawlerman in my youth. Death on the seas chills me to my bones. I am glad that you keep the memory of this great sorrow alive but seeing it has made one small corner of the sky forever sadder to me now. I hope 2023 is a peaceful and prosperous time for you, regards from Angus in Scotland.

Thank you, Angus! And...I'm sorry! My father was a machinist aboard several fisherboats and...The Norwegian tanker Golar Siri in early 60's, I'm wondering about telling "her" story some day too..Rigel will shine in eons to come. Those dark powers who took over the vessel "Rigel" is definitely not representing Orion and Rigel, ugliness and war took over a boat, a ship and used her in their service. Neither the ship or Rigel is "at fault". But from what seems like equal interests for a starlit heaven and the bodies moving on and upon it, I understand you very well! The wishes You send me for 2023 is returned to You and Yours, keep safe! From Roger in Värmland, Sweden.

@@realoldbeardedguy no need for sorrow.Keeping the memory alive and making it new to me are very serious things. If we forget the lessons of the past we will never learn for the future. I live close to the resting place of a 14 year old boy who lied to join the navy in the First World War and was killed before he reached 15 years of age. A few of us locals tend his grave and sometimes talk to him (may sound stupid to you). We tell everyone who passes about him to make their children precious and hope they will not become pawns of war. We need people like you who make others aware of the past. Don't be sorry for bringing a little shade into my life, it makes me appreciate the bright things more. Tell the story of Golar Siri.
