This is going to save me SO MUCH TIME at work. The rigging team usually makes background characters rather simple which can make animating them annoying, but now that I know I can add my own deformers in almost NO TIME is a life saver! Thabks so much!

It's funny how I never bothered to look at all the options in the menu and this option was just sitting there the entire time! Super useful for quick simple shapes! Thanks again!

There's actually a script built into harmony for setting where the offset is. EnvelopeCreator_actHint. Just have to add it to a toolbar by right-clicking > customize. Then you just click where you want the offset to be, and it'll create the deformer based on your current Envelope Creator settings

It literally takes a span of time to make a single rig becuaas there can be errors, things that don't work, and worst of all not saving lol.

@@DanzyRemix haha oh yeah I know, but seeing a character from design to ready for an animator- errors and all would be would be soooo great for those of us still learning and running into errors we can’t find answers to on google

@@ZeBirdBrain what if you did a challenge like “can I rig something in 20 min?” sort of thing (to the most basic stick figures character you can think of), I watched one of those from someone else and learned a ton. I know it’s a buttload of work but I thought I’d throw it out there. Love all your videos too, so incredibly helpful.

When ever I use an envelope deformer it works great for expanding the mass, but when I try to squash it, I get this weird artifact where the inside of the shape spills out of the line work on the other side as I compress it. That is to say, I couldn't use it to squash a ball(not my intended use) if I wanted to. Is there some step im skipping? I've tried to manually create the deformer rig as well as automatically create it with the same issue.

Oop! disregard! I asked in your discord and someone pointed out that you actually have a tutorial for specifically this issue called FIXING your BROKEN envelopes.

I really can't understand why there isn't the most straightforward option to make the envelope: WHY CAN'T I JUST COPY THE BEZIER PATH FROM THE SHAPE AND PAST IT INTO AN ENVELOPE!? I mean 99% of the time you're just trying to replicate the shape of the drawing so why don't Harmony let you just... do that. I don't think that is particularly difficult to be programmed :(
