Rigging the Laser Vago

I have been asked to provide some help for rigging the Laser Vago. and I have included some single-handed tips too.
I kept on saying port side (and it is Starboard side) it is because its a port rounding side (a port drop) which is the best way to drop the kite as it goes in much easier.

the jib sheets are rigged as normal apart from there is no knot at the clew it just runs through a pulley I have attached with a long shackle. you can just thread it through the cringle its not as good but works fine (until you can get a pulley and shackle). You just adjust the tension and let the jib come across with whatever tension it has.

Yes the rudder is pulled down just use the wing nut to hold the rudder up. I have a swing cleat on the tiller so it comes un-done if it hits hard, I use origanal cleat to adjust the tiller tension to keep it centre. Keep it up we have our inland nationals at Rutland 19th/20th October 13 feel free to come alng we are an easy going lot and you can pick up load of tips and tecniques.

I have started learning to sail on the Vago and the rudder keeps coming up at speed. Is the line tied to the rudder supposed to secure the rudder in the down position? Currently it is set up to raise the rudder. Thanks for filming the process!. It has greatly reduced the time needed to setup.

How long does it take you to go from trailer to sailing by yourself? How about with another person? Thanks!

I turned up to the nationals one year with 30 minutes to go before the start and it was a 20 minute sail out to the start and I was on time :) but that was pushing it :) in fact that was the year I won it but I don't recommend it, an hour is plenty of time with another person its about the same as most of the jobs aren't in parallel whether there is one or 2 of you, you have to put the mast up then attach the boom and so on the rudder can be done at the same time and getting kit out but other than that its not much quicker

The self Tacker is a shackle with a pulley on you don't need to use it you can just put it through the Cringle on the jib and let ot go through there. then just have the sheet to adjust the tenson for the jib to go out or pull in to go close hauled
