For the last question you don't need to do a system of equations. Since each angle adds up the 90 you could set up angle 1 as 7x+6=90 and you would see that x=12. Additionally, you could either plug in x to angle 2's equation or you could solve for y with angle 3 since you can set it up as 6y=90 and y=15. Then you could check by plugging the x and y values into angle 2 to see if it adds up to 90.

MR. Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for another fantastic video/lecture on the basic Introduction to the Right-Angle Theorem in Plane Geometry. The Two Column Proofs for this topic is not too difficult to follow, however, students can still get lost in the theory. I found the example simple to follow from start to finish.
