I would always opt for the nail, to keep your tone consistent with the fingers. it also produces a cleaner tone with more versatility. You can then use the flesh for a particular tone in more advanced techniques.

Hello sir I am playing villa lobos etude 1 I was very good at it but now my right hand isn't going fast like it was and my fingers are so tight (I'm not playing that smooth) Can you give me a solution plz 😅😅

Don't chase the speed, as often you will become more tense and the fingers will become tighter. The more relaxed your hands are, the more likely the speed will return. Use a metronome and play it slowly again, just increasing the tempo a little at a time. It will return. Good luck!
