Dr Rana, I would like to request you to kindly consider possibility of growing hazelnut shrubs in Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir and other colder regions of the country. The best hazelnut are produced in Turkey, which produces 70 percent of world production. It is a high value nut which can be grown easily in Himachal Pradesh. Hazelnut are used in chocolate and cake industry widely. This can boost the income of farmers manifold. Regards
