This was composed as a complete tribute to Michael Jackson and introduced at the (I believe) D Dynasty solo concert in Moscow 2019. His dancers all wore Michael Jackson clothing and duplicated Michael's dancing. He has performed it various times on stage and it's on his album "iD" released in China in 2019

When he was first gaining fame, he made it clear that he could not dance. He was not comfortable doing anything but standing at a mic singing. Because he wanted to emulate MJ, he hired a dance instructor. He would spend hours in front of a full length mirror practicing his moves. He is now very confident with his dancing and his instructor still choreographs his dance moves. He is the whole package.

MJ is one of his idols along with Lara Fabian, Andrea Bocelli, Pavarotti, and he listens to Eminem, Baroque music, choral singing, Mamamoo, to name a few, when relaxing. His concerts are filled with dancers and energy songs. Most people just chose to listen to his classics, and suggest them. This song is a few years old and was in his Digital Concert of Jan this year and he is now posting them to his channel. Can't wait for the full DVD to become available. It was a fantastic concert.

Dimash usually has background dancers during his concerts, unless it's something slow and intimate. Michael Jackson is his favorite performer. I think he's picked up some moves from just being a kid dancing along in his room. 😄 There are behind the scenes videos of him practicing for his concerts. He really strives to be the best performer for his fans. He never misses a note even while he's dancing.

Michael Jackson has been a huge influence and an idol of his since he was very young and he has said as much in multiple interviews. This was meant to be an MJ tribute and he has performed it in the past as well.

Hi Bud, Great reaction and yeah as others have told you he's loved MJ since he was a little boy and he was asked recently what music does he listen to and along with a few classical singers and Kazakh artists he said he still listens motyly to MJ and makes no apologies in having been influenced by him, Dimash actually composed this a couple years ago as a tribute to his idol and meeting a fan after a Dimash concert who'd actually seen a MJ concert and met him afterwards, she had a treasured gift from him .. a poster signed by MJ, dated 24thMay 1994 which is Dimash's birthdate and she gave it to Dimash ... Lovely gift !! 👍👍😊

I wonder why every time Dimash sings a pop song and dances, most seem to make a comparison to him with MJ. MJ was a fabulous performer by all means, but so is Dimash in his own way! I also understand that MJ was in influence on Dimash but why this constant comparison. Are other artists that sing pop and dance also compared to him as well? Jeesh. Can’t Dimash just be and remain as Dimash? He is unique to me as any other artist is. Just my thoughts and my opinion and totally understanding of others though.🤷🏻‍♀️✌️

Debbie Morgan That’s exactly how I feel about it! However, we dears know that Dimash differs in so many ways. He in my opinion has his own unique style as MJ had his. I just would enjoy it more, if when Dimash is singing and dancing any type of pop song, that he is solely respected for his unrivaled talent and skills that he him self as Dimash possesses! Just like all other artists, instead of a shadow of or to, a MJ Tribute Act, as you stated. By all means, I most definitely respect MJ talents but Dimash most definitely has his own as well! It also annoys me when I hear dears repeat or comment often that it’s a tribute to MJ when ever he performs a pop song. I wonder if that the case!🤷🏻‍♀️ I have watched one of Dimash’s tributes to MJ but, are they all a tribute when he sings and performs in this particular genre? I’m unsure about that, 🤔 and I also recognize the fact that MJ was his idol, but it’s almost like one is looking for approval if it’s not mentioned. I do also think that it may be said as an honor for their comparison, but it just gets tiring to hear it continuously with every pop song he sings. I enjoy and respect MJ for who he was as an artist for sure, and a great one if I might add, but I too enjoy Dimash for just who he is DIMASH Kudaibergan.

They even compared him to MJ on a drum and bass track just because he wore a white suit and had backing dancers. MJ was firmly pop. The day someone digs out a track of him singing opera I might concede a comparison.

MEH. Pretty average as far as choreography, music production, and stage presence. Acts have broken this ground for the last 50yrs. Maybe it's fresh for the young ones but us old timers have seen this done over and over and MUCH BETTER.
