Blue-eyed soul with no Auto-Tune, just pure talent. Never a dry eye or seat in the house. And your reaction was as perfect as they were. Ty

I always enjoy your reactions to classic American artists. But this reaction seemed to really hit with home with you, on an emotional level. I could feel your emotions building and building. Which makes a great reaction video and shows your deep appreciation for the Righteous Brothers in particular. I love this video. Keep up the fine work Genie, RNB

This is soul with a "Capital S" produced by Phil Spector in his wall of sound. The reason you can't bring this back is because the artist of today don't have this type of talent and have to use auto tune. This is why the Righteous Brothers and Phil Spector are ALL in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame--- pure talent.😎

Phil Spector was the first "Acknowledged" Superstar Producer in Music. He worked with alot of folks. His first big break was in a Group called The Teddy Bears who had the Hit Record To Know Him Is To Love Him, then he wrote I Love How You Love Me by The Paris Sisters. The fellows got their name when they were performing in San Francisco Naval Bases and the Sailors who were predominately Black would clap and say "That's Righteous Brothers", and the name stuck. This was their Second Number One Hit but this wasn't done by Phil Spector. Bill (The Dark Haired Guy) admitted he was a big fan of American R & B most notably Ray Charles. It was written by Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil a successful Husband/Wife Songwriting Team. They also made history by being on the very first Cover of Tiger Beat that debuted in 1965 that is now the longest running Teen Magazine in Publishing History and it's Sister Magazine Right On that debuted in 1972, was the first successful African American Teen Magazine. Billy Joel was one of their biggest Fans who inducted them into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. The Show they are doing is Hullaballoo which was a popular Rock & Roll Show from the 1960's. Nancy Sinatra (Frank's Daughter) introduced them as Two Guys who did inspired interpretations of Soul Music. Even Elvis thought they were Black.

Thus was actually the first airing of this song after they had left Spector. Bill (who had been producing for years) learned everything he could from Spector's techniques and it shows on this production. He did a pretty good job of recreating Wall of Sound aura. This is live on television.

Righteous brothers, name arrived from soul brother. African American fans inspired their name. The fans also referred to their music as being rightous. So they chose the name Righteous brothers. This was a time in the 1960's when white artist were being inspired by African American soul music. At the time it was being blue eyed soul. The Righteous brothers were one of the first white groups to be inspired by black music.

Thanks Genie great pick. I love all the stuff from that era with the "Wall Of Sound" vib. But how about do one by one of the girl groups. Be My Baby The Ronettes 4K-HD Remaster {Stereo} --> kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4iTXoyKidSFgqM Sound is great. Video is 1963 quality but pretty good. But it's just a suggestion. I know going back that far is risky for views. But then again they were as big as these guys and their in RRHOF. Thanks again.

One thing that I want you to remember though... yes I want my channel to grow but I’m not here just for the views. To put it simple - this is educational for me, I’m learning so much & enjoying what I do & what’s more I’m truly blessed to have subscribers that enjoy my style of reaction, so yeah bring your request anytime. I’m way behind lol but I won’t stop trying to get to them all. You are one of my loyal supporters & I really can’t say how much I appreciate you. Wishing you a great week. Blessings to you & your family 🌹

@@akagenie502 I like all kinds of stuff. The Phil Spector groups and his "Wall Of Sound" really took recording to the next level back then. You can hear his influence in everything from "The Beach Boys" to ABBA just to name a couple of bands. Sorry I haven't been as active lately. I always keep some project going on and I'm used to that. But two of my sons got me involved in theirs too. One is doing some home remodeling and the other bought a house and is getting it ready to move in. ( I"m waiting for one to come back with building materials right now.) But I'm not complaining. It's good that even in their 30's they still need Dads help and knowledge. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon. Take care Genie. Think I'm gonna put on some ABBA while I wait. You know you can't go wrong with ABBA. :-)
