I love the part where he says the Word of Truth from 2 Tim 2:15, which goes with Ephesians 1:12, Word of truth, which as said in Ephesians there, that by rightly dividing the Word of Truth means rightly dividing the gospel of your salvation.

Which means, you could easily wrongly divide things up and put yourself into a works based system of faith and works which is wrong... Jesus did all the work, and we are saved by Gods grace through faith, created unto good works that we should walk in them... one good work I’ve noticed that comes up a lot by Paul is our wholesome conversations... Paul seems to speak of how a new creature in Christ ought to talk.... if a hearts changed, so then should the tongue.... only God can tame the tongue.. Amen!

I think the issue with the Book of James is that people erroneously cannot understand or reconcile why his words directly seem to contradict Paul's words in Romans. The error is they fail to understand James within not just the context of whom he is writing to, but the message itself. He is talking about being justification before men. His usage of justification is different than paul's. Paul is talking about being Justified before god. The Bible cannot contradict itself, rather it has many paradoxes. Paradoxes are ideas or concepts that at face value seem to contradict, but taken within proper context, they do not contradict.

we don't need to be justified before men. James is directly contrary to grace. James states he is writing to the jews!!! James is a book of law. Only if you rather keep your tradition and add to what the word clearly says do they not contradict

+Tamara Carlson no, James is not a book of the law.. It was written to Jewish Believers whom by faith Trust in the lord Jesus for salvation. When I said justification before men, I think you misunderstand what I meant. Yes, your correct when you say we dont need to be justified by men, however justification used specifically in this text denotes that he means as a testimony of the lord Jesus to all men. We do have a testimony and yes even paul wrote many times about our testimony in the eyes of men. Thats why James is rebuking these Jewish believers because they claim to have faith before god, yet they give partiality to the wealthy prominent people. James even though its not written directly to Gentlies is still valuable for our reading, learning, docterine, ect.

+Tamara Carlson James himself is a believer and look at verse 2 in chapter 1... He calls them his bretheren, meaning they were believers.. Chapter 2 verse 1 is the issue at hand with their behavior not becomming of believers.

@@unitewithch "James himself is a believer" Yes, James was a believer in the gospel of the circumcision. Today we can be saved only by believing Paul's gospel of the uncircumcision. Two different churches with two different gospels. That is the reason why their messages contradict. Rightly dividing between the two programmes is key. Grace & peace to you.

Absolutely true, Two different gospels! Peter, James & John's message was the kindom message, Paul's message was the grace message, they are two different messages!
