If your wife does the cooking, cleaning the house, take care of children, laundry, or any housework, they do it as your [husband] partner in marriage and not as a maid. They do it of their own will and not by force or regulation in marriage. The wife's main task is to pleasure or entertain the husband physically and spiritually like a queen. If they ask for wages for every housework then the husband has to pay them because these are additional tasks for her. And the husband must or compulsory to fulfill her needs like buying clothes, accommodation, security, safety, personal expenses, and food. This is what marriage in Islam but of course, once we got married, we have a mutual understanding from both parties what normally a husband should do and what the wife should do but it is not the procedures that need to be regulated. But normally the husband always takes it for granted and forces the wife to do so and so. The properties and money of a husband belong to husband and wife. But the properties and money of a wife just belong to the wife. The husband cannot take his wife's money without consent or permission. If you take it, it is considered stealing and a sin. If you borrow from her, you must pay her back. So, women... this is your right as a wife in Islam.
