+Jessica Comeau It was nice to meet you today and to find out you are just as nice in person as you are online. Your rendition of, "Black is the color" lead me down the rabbit hole that helped me rediscover the Appalachian folk music my grandparents listened to. P.S. I hope I hid most of my, "crazed fan girl" excitement and that we run into each other again.

Anthony Reilly Anthony, sure the journey is long, but like any journey, it begins with the first step. As wonderful as Jessica’s music is, I’m sure her fingers felt as tangled as yours when she started out. That’s why she puts so much work into sharing her experience with us! Music isn’t a contest. It’s a message and a way of life. No musician is as proficient as they know they can be. The journey is about try to be and sharing.

***** Hi Jessica. I became enthralled with the dulcimer by watching and listening to the late, great Richard Farina play it--amazing technique! Are you familiar with his work? He was married to Joan Baez's sister, Mimi (now also deceased). Richard died tragically in a motorcycle accident after releasing only 2 albums with Mimi. Keep up the good work! I'll check out some of your other videos. best, Skip Way

Great sound. I am happy you slowed it down to really get the tone of the song. I've been listening to a couple including De Danann and though they are really good players the song is way too fast. The pace is good. Also the one in irish dreams by alisa jones. Anyways i like it a lot.
