If Rihanna’s actually quitting music, then honestly, I say good for her. She has nothing left to prove. She’s been dominating the music industry ever since she was a teenager. Has loads of classic songs and a stellar body of work. Plus, she has two beautiful children to look after so it makes complete sense. All great things must come to an end. Salute to Queen RiRi. 🙌🏾

@@Heroliesinyou Yeah, I know. I am specifically calling out the Academy Awards & Grammys because far too many take those specific ones as more legit and dignified. The Golden Globes (another bullsh¡+ award) can make some think that if they get the Glove they may be more than likely gonna get the Oscar too. For example when someone in a comment section of a video that discussed the late TWitch's death (it being suspect in connection to Ellen DeGeneres and P. Diddy) and they thought that he (TWitch) and his wife were giving the camera the middle finger in their anniversary photos (but it was really them flipping off with their ring fingers/wedding band fingers), they then started going off on the lack of class in that photo and P. Diddy's interviews and they threw in Will Smith slapping Chris Rock on the Oscars saying the Oscars used to be so classy and sophisticated, but these types of incidences have ruined them. So I responded that these award shows and talk shows were never truly classy, etc. Just smoke and mirrors, and bad sh¡+ happening behind the scenes So yes, all award shows are, as you say "full of schemes", but Grammys & Oscars are put on a pedestal above them all.(Emmy & Tony as well, since the whole EGOT is rare to get). In my opinion, most actors, singers--- performers would prefer an Oscar and/or Grammy over say, MTV VMAs, People's Choice Awards, BET Awards, Screen Actors' Guild Awards, and the list goes on.
@undaunted106510 күн бұрын
@@Heroliesinyou And a perfect example of how full of sh¡+ they are, is how they play games with some of the actors/actresses. Susan Lucci comes to mind. She was nominated 18 times for the Emmy Award before they finally gave her one. Being snubbed that many times would have to be just comedy at that point. Seriously, 18 times? If I were her, by the time--- the 19th time they gave me that sh¡+, I'd be like, "Nah. I'm good. Y'all can keep it." And then make my exit. 😂 Because waiting for that award for almost 2 decades worth of nominations would overtime make it seem overrated.

Last comment I definitely agree Tylas team fumbled with the grammys, bc I don't believe she was snubbed for any R&B awards lol. I play her album daily, and I can definitely say, the base of her sound is Amapiano, not R&B. Yes, there's R&B elements to her music, but its infused with Pop, Amapiano, & Afro beats...so I can see why she wasn't nominated in those categories. They should put her in the same categories as Water, bc thats her lane. She's an international south african popstar. Put her in those categories.

If Ri’s done with music, well then she did it in a graceful way. I think a lot us tend to forget Rihanna dropped 8 albums in a 11 year span with seven of them being an album a year from 2005-2012 (7 years straight) from Music Of The Sun to Unapologetic; not to mention the tours, promo, performances, red carpets, press, and recording she had to do for each and every single one of those albums in between. I think somewhere along the line music became a secondary passion for Rihanna and it was evident in the SB performance last year, and how she did the little nod to Fenty lol. Her family and Fenty is her passion, and to be fair fashion and make-up were always avenues Rihanna had talked about getting into so it makes sense. If Anti was her graceful departure from music well then she walked out at the top! Hey at least we got Umbrella, Only Girl (In The World), Diamonds, and countless hits for days…Rihanna is in the history books of Pop Music, and is a global music legend #BadGal Icon ✨👑✨

Exactly! People wouldn’t be so critical if they didn’t use such extreme language when describing her. “The next Rihanna” “the next IT girl”, etc. How can you be these things when every time you hit the scene, you’re wearing an exact outfit Beyoncé, Rihanna already wore? The visuals and aesthetics are reminiscent of something that’s been been done? Those women became who they are by being innovative and most into THE TIME THEY PUT IN IVER THE YEARS. Year after year, we get a “new” artist but we’re not really getting anything new. The lack of real musicianship is at an all time high and they just expect us to eat up the cookie cutter artist every single time. I wish her team didn’t set her up to fill in big shoes so quickly cause that usually works against people rather than helps.
