I love the Barbados accent there’s something different about it compared to like a Jamaican accent...maybe it’s because Melissa and Rihanna have lived in America for a bit so their accent has been a lil bit influenced by the states but I love how they talk so pretty&cool at the same time

It's not the same. Jamaicans and bajans have different ways of pronouncing their words and uses different slangs and have different context of style only ppl with good ears can pick up...and if you hang around alot of Caribbean ppl all your life..your ears will pick up the difference in each Trini Vincy Jamaica bajans accents and lingo....all islands have different accents.. Melissa and Rihanna accents are becoming more Americanized cuz they stay and hangout with Americans..they still have the parts of the accent creep in and out cuz they stay with their bajan ppl and be in Barbados..when not, they have to adjust their accents so Americans can understand.. and if they do that alot, they will loose the accent like I have since I moved to America.lol
