Not at all surprised that this works for her curls. It’s the type 4 (particularly 4B-C) curls that are always left out of the formula.

@@honks9484 I’m talking about types 4B-C. THOSE are the curls that are socially deemed not beautiful since slavery. It’s reflected in the number of products on the hair market. There is PLENTY available for types 1 and 2 (mostly white people). They can find something from every mainstream brand. There is A LOT available for type 3 hair (those are the curls that a lot of non-Black and mixed Black people have. The hierarchy of skin color *and* hair texture was evident with the existence of “house” and “field” n*ggas and subsequent paper bag tests)..less and less products are available as the curl patterns get tighter. There are less products available for mixed Black people than white people. Yes. However, people w type 3-4A hair types have A LOT more available than TYPES 4B-C. Type 4B-C are pretty much GUARANTEED to be left out of ANY product that is for “all hair types.” THEY are the ones that get left out of pretty much EVERYTHING. I am not denying that it can be difficult to find products for 3B-C (my hair type) and 4A (my oldest’s hair type) but there is a nice amount of options available..again, not as many as there should be, but the products are there..every product you will need for those hair types are there and relatively easy to find.. ..but when it comes to 4B-C (my youngest’s hair type) you have to *SCOUR* the internet (because you will damn near NEVER find them in stores) for months, even years and try MULTIPLE products, that fail to care for 4B-C hair, to find ONE good product. The struggle for all the curls is NOT the same and I see it dealing with my family’s hair daily. I have a husband w 4C, one child w 4A, one child w 4B-C, and I have 3B-C. It is the easiest to find products for my hair and as the curls get tighter, it becomes more and more difficult to find products. Just facts.
