Michael stole that chant from Manu Dibango, a Cameroonian Jazz maestro, whose hit song, *Soul Makossa* lit up the New York clubs in the late 70s, including Studio 54, where Michael used to frequent. I remembered very well when I was in my teens. There were constant arguments of who was better: Rihanna or Gaga. As an adult I feel Rihanna is the better singer but Gaga has her beat in style and flare. But mostly they just feel very different. Gaga feels focused and professional. She thought this out, perfected and knows how to do it perfectly. Rihanna feels far more like she sings her heart out and enjoys it so much. Gaga also feels like she makes use of every single resource she has at her disposal while Rihanna just goes with what she feels she needs. I'm not saying one is better than the other. If anything it's really nice that the top 2 pop stars were so polar opposite of each other.
