One of the people in charge of RIIZE who is SM's former CEO Tak Young Jun has already been outed for weird behavior towards Giselle and Yuta so I'm worried it has to do with him being Japanese. But SM is being super weird about it for a company that takes the position of leader most seriously.

Hope its not true though (him interfering with naming Shotaro as leader), since he's been critcized for sidelining Japanese idols already in the past. Youd hope he'd be more aware of it now but you never know. And yeah SM is big on their leaders (loved the concept of 'The Cure'), so RIIZE is definitely peculiar in this aspect

@@Celeste_51 There are a ton of KZbin videos that explain this better that I can so I reccomend watching a few on the situation but I'll do my best. There has been a situation where Seunghan, one of the members of Riize, has left the group because K-netz were upset that pre-debut he had a girlfriend and smoked (the parasocial relationship with idols is crazy). He went on hiatus for quite a while until SM announced he would be coming back. After 2 days of his return, sm announced that he would be leaving the group. K-netz literally bullied him out of the group. They sent over 1000 funeral wreaths to the sm building. International fans are also very upset with sm because they were promoting Riize internationally however they said that international fans opinion basically doesn't matter. This is why people (mostly international fans) are boycotting Riize and even sm all together because of the unjustice towards Seunghan. #riizeis7
