I was laying on my couch, Had MTV on and the video of world of fantasy came on, I rolled over to see who had that incredible voice. I was hooked from that day forward in 1983..Saw Triumph in concert that year Never Surrender Tour couldn't believe it Triumph sounded the same live as they did on my album that doesn't happen but it did. Their music helped me through numerous hard times in my life. Hold On holds a special place in my heart. I was able to buy Triumph album with my babysitting money. After never surrender I started with Rock N Roll Machine, Just a game, progressions of power and so on. My husband of 32 years became a big fan. Year's later my triplet sons became fans of Rik Emmett and Triumph. Bryan my middle son acted like whatever Mom I like rap and hip hop. Came home one day and there he was rocking out to magic power on the computer😍.My boys came with me to every Rik Emmett show of course my husband to. Rik and Dave Dunlap we're amazing together. I'm in America my son Adam was watching trailers from the Documentary we don't know where we could buy it or watch it.

Intense! I love you so much! ... My 80's favorite band was Triumph. I love all that Rik Emmett has done. What an incredible life. From musician, artist in a huge band,. To solo a artist, to a huge family man, to a professor.. business, music, etc of a huge Canadian college and still writing and performing to this day even on Cruz' ships. .. is nothing he can't do in music?

Absolutely awesome, real Blues - not them 1-4-5 boring crap - and did i say amazing arrangement ? The Blues, an inconvenient reality to those that actually feel it - all credit to the true blues men and women but this is just great - Rick Emmett, great guitar man, bless yall

I need the lyrics to this song!!! I’m begging. Someone just told me about this and I’m obsessed and I do mean obsessed. I’ve listened to it at least 100 times in a week. Rik Emmet has to be the most versatile, talented artist I have ever witnessed. Loved Triumph and grew up with it. I’m a 58 yr old GMA but this brings me home to the woman maybe I should have been or need to be to be if that makes sense. And I’m talking about the actual physical and mental feel and emotion of the song. Not necessarily the lyrics. So much love to you Rik and thank you for SOOOO many amazing memories and emotions.

As great a talent Rik is, he is more importantly just a great person. Very authentic, real and naturally cool. A BCI grad from Toronto.

This song is insanely good - I love it. Great lyrics, great singing, great guitar work, and just an absolutely wonderful feel and vibe. Emmett released more solo material after Triumph than when he was with Triumph. It covered a large range and included some great stuff of various generas. On the softer side and very pensive, check out "The Longing," a song from Spiral Notebook - a song that speaks to my core. If you want to hear Triumph sounding stuff, then get Airtime, Liberty Manifesto. It's like a Triumph album, but only the good songs.

was this song not dedicated to Stevie Ray Vaughn? I could swear I remember Rick saying that before playing it back in a "Cheers" bar on St-Jeans Blvd in west island Mtl, some 22 or 23 yrs ago? what a great night that was.. :) I've been looking for this song ever since I first heard it in that night club. :)
