I hope you enjoy the video. This is a brief insight into my first day walking onto Rikers Island as a prisoner. I would end up staying there for three years before being sent upstate.

You got Rikers mixed up from upstate as far as jewelry, in them years you can keep any jewelry you got on, believe me I had mine on

I believe you are 100% correct; I do remember dudes wearing their s--t back then on Rikers, not upstate in the joint though. Although little story; I stepped into Sing Sing and one day in the yard notice this Irish dude on the bar; he has a SICK gold Cuban link on his neck, and hanging from it is a huge gold lions head with diamonds for its eyes. My boy told me that if a cop or a prisoner wants that chain one of them will end up dead. His name was Patty, one of the best!

I did a 20 year bid on Rikers Island, that's right I said 20 years. At the end of my 20 I cop a plea and took my pension. As a retired 20 year NYC Correction Officer, Rikers Island is to be forgotten.

I really enjoy your vids. Just one question: you said no narcotics are dispensed at Rikers. However, I have always read, including last year, that Rikers has a longtime court-approved methadone program for inmates who pass requirements. I know you’ve said you were never an opiate addict, but were you aware of the program there?

@@AFaceintheCrowd01 You are 100 percent correct, Rikers does have a methadone program, but Rikers is a jail, not a prison. Prison does not have any such program

You are 100% correct. It was 1996 when I was there and there are some things hard to remember. I do remember dude's having on their jewelry, chains, etc.
