Series: Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future Episodes: 35 to 48. During the second half of the series. Aira the main character from the last season is having love problems because she falled in love with two boys, who are forcing her to make the decission of who will be her boyfriend. The pressure causes that Aira's heart to fill with darkness. Kintaro the Villain of the series takes advantage of that and brainwashed Aira to be his servant. Aira can't resist the mind control due to the weakness in her heart. This time Rythm and Mion decided to accompany Aira "to hell" knowing that she has been mind controlled by Kintaro, even if means that they also lose their freedom in the process(They aren't mind controlled, only Aira). So Aira now becomes the antagonist for the last part of the series.

It's cute how her friends stood by her side, even as she went to the abyss. They're keepers (though I'd still like to understand why they didn't try harder to save her). What I REALLY don't get though, is why a double crush caused her heart to weaken. How did that affect her determination ? I've had crushes, but I think only one of them meant something to me, so forgive me for not understanding the reason behind the protagonist's emotions and actions.

Usually when two people have a crush on the same person, the person is overwhelmed if they know those people feelings. Especially since Shou and the other designer (forgot his name) were persistent on fighting for her love. She got overwhelmed and when the antagonist came in to present the dress to her, she just wanted an escape. She loves fashion so it would be understandable that she chose the dress she chose as the other two reminded her about her current predicament.

Because the boys were from what I understand doing a "wear the dress I made I love your more than that him..." and she felt trapped and then the villain gives her an out and she took it.

Is it OK to like videos like this? It's not a fetish to me, I just like the trope of briefly falling to darkness. Plus, I like seeing the variations and different ways it's used, from manipulative to a cry for help.

I think it's ok. As long as you understand these things are not to be practiced in rea life, and that there's a greater purpose to them.

Keep it in fiction and you'll be fine. Hypnosis and other subtle ways of control as a narrative device are incredibly interesting because of how they portray the darker sides of the human subconscious for everyone involved.

@@JabamiLain So the protagonist is Aira Harune a girl who love fashion and she can hear the outfits voices she's naive but also happy lucky, one day she discover Prism Stone a shop who recruit young girls for skating wearing beautiful outfits and while she was dreaming on place she did a Prism Jump and one girl who was going to be crushed did a Prism Jump too in order to dodge Aira at time, and then a producer (who's in the video) recruited them to become Prism Stars.

@@yurikatakamiyasay what you will about Mahou Shoujos, they know how to be creative in spite of being set in modern day settings. Speaking of hearing objects, there's a game called "Drakengard 3", in which a Mahou Shoujo like cast can merge with the weapons they wield, I wonder if it's possible that allows them access to the weapons backstories (none is pretty, the more you upgrade, the worse it gets). That's a very fun dynamic for me.
