It seems predatory, especially with the disclaimer that the wedding was being planned without her knowledge and she did not consent to the marriage arrangement. This was evidenced by her disagreement with her mother, her coming out of the taxi and running away from the driver, and possibly agreeing under coercion or duress to marry a much older man. He failed to sing about what HE could provide for her, but instead sang that she made Sada roti and would be “busy” at night, again feeding into the patriarchy that women are meant to cook and serve men. This was done in poor taste, right off the start with a young woman paired against a much older man. Had the video depicted a younger man, or an age appropriate woman, this may have not been an issue from the start. He should have filled this in Afghanistan, where these child marriages occur.

What people fail to realize is that the English translation for the hindi word 'beti' is your "daughter". So what I'm getting from this is that he wants to pesai his daughter Massalla and I agree that this is very very disturbing to see a young girl running away from her parents house to be with an older man. I would never support this!!! Sorry KZbin should remove this! Our culture does not condone this!!! Much respect to the team that put this together tho!
