The Baltic countries enjoy a long-standing choral tradition. The Biennale was proud to present Latvian composer Ēriks Ešenvalds who wrote a compelling In Paradisum for choir, cello and viola.

She is in paradise. The composer wrote this piece for his grandma who passed. The viola represents her spirit.
