My guess maybe he died of alcohol related causes and someone found him (likely homeless person) and took his clothing and maybe pushed him into the river in the process. I was a paramedic and a little boy fell in a nearby river, it was witnessed by others, and he went in fully clothed- shoes and all. We found him 4 days later miles down stream, completely naked. Absolutely no foul play involved at all. The currents and all of the debris/rocks/branches, etc. can and will remove clothing and shoes. Even knee high boots laced up tight will come off. It is not uncommon to find victims of accidental drownings naked or partially clothed. Even in stagnant ponds they come out naked sometimes. I hope Riley's parents get the answers _they_ seek. RIP Riley

When cops say "no foul play" they usually mean no gunshot wounds or stab wounds on the body and no signs of strangulation. Those are the three most obvious signs of foul play. If you've got one of those three things; 1) gunshot wound 2) stab wound or 3) strangulation marks, you can say 100% for certain that foul play was involved. Stuff like broken bones or missing clothes aren't automatically considered signs of foul play because they could all be explained away as accidental. The "no water in his lungs" is kinda shady though, but idk, there might be a scientific explanation for that too.

There is a video right across the street from the Birch courthouse. The video shows 3 people after 11pm carrying something heavy and wrapped up and they were walking toward the bridge. People did this to Riley. They took his pants, boots, wallet, and phone. Justice for Riley! 💯

My grand-father committed suicide when I was a teenage girl. It was on a cold November day in Quebec, Canada. He fell off a bridge and his body was recovered a month later. The homeless guy that lives in the blue tent on the bank where the bank card was found knows something. His sole purpose the whole time people were looking for riley was to keep them from going down the trail to his tent. He told at least 3 KZbinrs not to go down the trail where the tent is. He said there were dogs that would bite you or people were sleeping and not to bother them .He even camped out on the sidewalk so he could stop people before they started down the trail. He got disoriented, Someone or some evil people took advantage of a young clean cut wealthy looking young man who drank more than he should have , maybe he stopped and asked the wrong person for help? or how to get back to his hotel? Riley’s family is smart to order a second autopsy, though that had to be a hard hard decision to make. There’s too many questions and it’s hard for a lot of us to believe Riley consumed only a few drinks because the way he was trying to walk shows that he was extremely intoxicated - I hope his family gets the answers they need - along with everyone else I wish them comfort and peace for the loss of Riley.

Even back in college I was astounded at how nonchalantly everyone, especially girls, got back out wasted.. especially when the ladies would then go home with random dudes. I was pulled out by an undercurrent in Hawaii so far out and you are going under the water trying to pull yourself to the surface, taking water in and there is no way I could have had the capacity to remove any clothes or shoes/boots. You are drowning! All your strength is trying to stay above the surface; not removing clothes! Riley had no water in his lungs and nice clothes were off his body including his wallet, and debit card found earlier. There was absolutely foul play involved because I was swept out into the ocean for an hour and each second was pure survival. The undercurrent pulls you down and you can't find the extra energy to remove clothes. Your only focus is on your head above water and your arms swimming toward the beach! And legs. I am lucky to be alive and so sorry and sad that Riley lost his Life! He is irreplaceable and was loved deeply by many!
