Yes! I'm so happy to see more of my favorite Booktubers starting their "reading for me again" journey. We are all here because we like YOU! The books are just a fun addition to it all. Read what makes you happy and maybe then try to think of prompts around that. We would much rather see you happy and reading random things than to see you burning out because you're pushing yourself too hard. 💚

As a long time viewer, I love to watch honestly every video you post and they are all entertaining and cozy. I love the high concept ones, but also the vlogs and the ones where you just read whatever you want. I'd rather you read and talk about stuff you like than if you force yourself to read things you don't feel like picking up. No matter what, your personality shines through, and that's what we're all here for ✨

I love these vlogs. It’s so nice to know that as cute & upbeat & amazing your content is, there’s still a regular girlie under there that needs reset days and can be honest about not every day being as put together as it looks sometimes. These cozy vlogs are just like taking it easy with a friend where there’s no pressure, expectations, or judgment & we can vibe and be okay with taking it easy to have a more productive day tomorrow. Love you Riley, thank you for cultivating all the cozy vibes. 💛🌼

I completely relate to everything you said about struggles with being a content creator. 😭 I also do the same thing about not updating my goodreads til after the vlog is out, like why am I like this? 😂 I also need to care less about that

This reset vlog was so fun and chill. I'm halfway through The Crimson Peak movie. It is so fun. And my favorite movie of all time is Evil dead (2013).

Love the concept ❤ I appreciate you highlighting novels that are not completely new releases. I have yet to read Hisham Matar and this year I will be reading My Friends, partially thanksto your lovely recommendation. It’s already in my virtual shopping cart. Looking forward to it. If it gels with me well, I will follow up with his other ones too. From my current physical TBR I am prioritizing getting to those 10: Blackouts, Love After Love, Bellies, A Sign of her own, Seven Moons of Maali Almeida, Doppleganger, Birnam Wood, Babel and Anxious People.

I’ve been watching your channel since I started watching booktube about 2 years ago and I really like your content. As much as I enjoy a good theme, I would much rather have the content creator enjoy what they are reading and in the mood for. I think it adds more authenticity to the read and becomes unbiased compared to reading something you know you won’t like or not in the mood for so you are harsher on the book.
@jaimee-kate3 күн бұрын
I completely relate on the "what I watch is not exactly what I want to make, or is not always authentic to who I am". But as a viewer I will say, I'm here to watch you for you, so whatever you do I will be here!

Ahhh I love Interstellar 😍
@ldtrujillo914 күн бұрын
Random suggestion but if you’re into an app that’ll help you “randomly” pick a movie, I can’t suggest the Queue app enough. It lets me keep a list of movies (tv shows too) I wanna watch but it also allows you to spin a wheel and it’ll choose for you. You can set parameters like movie only or shows only or your preferred streaming services, etc and it’ll spin from those choices. It’s fun and can’t wait to follow your movie journey just as much as your book journey! 💖

One of my favourite movies from 2024 was Lisa Frankinstein! It's a campy dark comedy (with horror elements) starring Kathryn Newton and Cole Sprouse, and the screenplay was written by Diablo Cody (of Jennifer's Body fame), so you know it's going to be fun.

not the mirror being so high up omfg that cracked me up, being short is a struggle! i recently watched anora and i loved it, i couldnt stop laughing and the main actress was soo good, i went to see nosferatu in cinema and loved it too sooo beautiful, smile was insane the actress should fuckin win awards for it, also it was wierd and funny at times. caddo lake has dylan obrien i really liked the movie too. twisters was alright, it was funny sometimes and i did lowkey like the guy! also watched monkey man and liked it, i like fighting, revenge type of movies like that, the actor was soo good too. havent seen wicked yet, or baby girl but ill at some point. dune part1 i watched but i just lose interest and get confused and get distracted unfornately, i think i watched interstellar a long time ago, idk if i feel like watching the new madmax. inside out2 ngl i was bored. wild robot i probably wont watch bc i feel like im gonna cry and i dont like cryin plus idk sometimes i get bored watchin animation movies. maxxine meh not really interested in it, even tho i watched the other 2. i watch a lot of shows and movies xD this year i also binged watched all the alien movies and i really like em too, the new one was also realllly good! im also not really into comedies tbh, some movies i wanna watch heretic and azrael soon, and a few other movies that i cant remember rn bc i dont really keep track oops, cant even think of any to recommend rn lol
