Bonus of going first is that you don't have to worry about the project for the rest of the semester. Back in college I had a project to make and give a tour of a place of their choice. I voluntarily signed up to do mine of the first round, and it was nerve wracking but I was so grateful to have one less project to worry about ( trust me there were a lot).

I just made a TBR jar like your, I love the idea! I have never really liked the idea of one for me with picking a book out every month cuz I don’t set TBRs for myself. But to just pick from all the books you really want to get to next I think will be so helpful when I can’t decide what to read next! I actually also put in a couple that I can reuse like “Percy Jackson” or “shadowhunters” so I will just read whatever is next in the series. I also have a ton of Nicholas Sparks book so I just put his name in haha I’m excited to see how this works for me! Thanks for the idea!!

Oh man, that’s a real bummer about your first week of class! Oooh book of M! I enjoyed that one but it’s a bit weird I think. It reminded me of station eleven in the sense that yes, it’s post apocalyptic but it’s not actiony, it’s more quiet and almost literary with some magical realism stuff. It’s very thought provoking though!

I'm also one of those people who's just constantly making bad choices. Like when I'm at starbucks I know I want the chai latte but when Im standing there and it's my turn to order I freeze and say the thing I want the least. Like I hate caramel so what do i order? A fricking caramel latte.

I loved 99 Percent Mine. I thought it was incredible. I loved how REAL the characters felt. Like they legit felt like people i could know in my real life which i dont feel very often from characters. But the most important part for me was the grandmother. We NEVER EVER EVER get CONTEMPORARY witch/pagan/wiccan representation. They never specified what the grandmother identified as since Darcy only referred to her as a fortune teller. But thats so important. We NEVER get contemporary representation. We are only ever put in fantasy or paranormal books with supernatural powers. Paganism and Wicca and Witchcraft are huge communities, something important to so many people and we basically hVe zero representation in contemporary settings which is where it would count. I want us to stop being only represented as supernatural beings. Were not. Were just people who love and work with nature and tarot cards and we deserve real representation too.
