The Absence of God is one of the most underrated songs of all time. Absolute masterpiece

Blake is an acoustic god. Jenny will forever be my musician goddess. I'm still on track 1 and despite the poor audio quality, I already know this is the best video I've found in a long time. It's like unburying a time capsule.

2004. Back when people actually used to be quiet at concerts. Miss those days. Miss Rilo Kiley.

Christian Couto sharing the exact same feelings for today's audiences and it drives me nuts. It's because everything's accessible now, and there's no appreciation to or enjoying the live performance in front of you.

There’s talk of a reunion maybe.. but it’s the disadvantage of having a pretty girl in a band of boys. There’s always fallout

And it's only doubts that we're counting On fingers broken long ago I read with every broken heart We should become more adventurous And if you banish me from your profits And if I get banished from the kingdom up above I'd sacrifice money and heaven all for love Let me be loved Let me be loved And if my brain quits Well I guess then that's just it And if my hands stop workin' You can call me lazy And if I get pregnant I guess I'll just have the baby Let it be loved Let me be loved I've been tryin' to nod my head But it's like I've got a broken neck I want to say I will As my last testament For me to be saved and you to be brave We don't have to walk down that aisle Because if marriage ain't enough well At least we'll be loved I felt the wind on my cheek Comin' down from the east And thought about how we are all As numerous as leaves on trees And maybe ours is the cause of all Mankind getting love make more And try to stay alive I've been tryin' to nod my head But it's like I've got a broken neck I want to say I will As my last testament For me to be saved and you to be brave We don't have to walk down that isle Because if marriage ain't enough well At least we'll be loved

MrFetrut thank you! Even if this isn’t that recording, Live at Fingerprints is the show I’m trying to find. Had a copy I bought in Omaha and then lost to theft. Been trying to find it for like 11 years
@alanosterman71302 жыл бұрын
Checking out Jenny's roots. Raw music here. Blake very impressive on guitar. Jenny so sweet, especially between songs. Fingerprints recording was on August 19, 2004, while this was on October 23, 2004.

0:36 Jenny posing like Hope Sandoval. It's not practical, but it sure gives off that appearance of listlessness.
