Pawandeep is not king. He’s a good singer. A musician. Talented. There’s no timber in his high notes. Sounds almost like shouting. He is singing in a wrong key. He can go low so sing in a lower note so that when you go high note, it’s controllable & has timber. Arunita is the Queen. She sings in any key & sings anyone’s songs beautifully. Lata, Asha. I would encourage him to come up with a pahadi folk album establishing it as a 'popular' genre like punjabi, rajasthani, sufi, etc. It would be such a novel and exciting journey- collecting music from remote regions, building a repository of songs, integrating knowledge of classical music, and singing them in his soulful melodious voice. Only he can do it!
