​@@billolson8766 I have ADHD, anything in particular you need advice on? There's kinda too much info for me to just start spouting stuff, kinda like decision paralysis. And obviously every person is different, so something I'm naturally terrible at, you might have no issue with and not need that advice Tho one thing that like every ADHD person I know deals with is time blindness, an inability to accurately tell how much time has passed and/or how long something will take. My solution is just to look at the time often, so my internal clock doesn't have much room to fuck with me. I have made a habit of constantly checking the time, and setting alarms for anything and everything, with labels. At one point, my alarm at noon was to remind me to eat lunch, and i had others for dinner and a midnight snack. Sometimes I forget to eat, and it's a good reminder. During school, i mostly used those alarms during the weekend and breaks

@@billolson8766 One thing I like to do when i have trouble focusing for any reason, is listen to music. If I'm doing boring chores like dishes, I play songs to sing along to. If I need to think, like I'm writing something, I'll play wordless music like a video game OST. My Bluetooth headphones have been my best friend for the past couple years. Usually what causes my issues with focus is understimulation, so adding something to the background helps. Sometimes it can help with overstimulation too, replacing the loud around me with songs I like. You could also use something like a podcast, I'm personally partial to music but whatever works for you, use it I was always pretty bad at starting assignments I found boring. If there's anything interesting about it, latch onto that, sometimes that would work. Something I've started recently, is setting aside a small block of time in my day to do anything I don't like but need to do. The goal is not to do everything, just something. After all, something is better than nothing. I never tried this in school, bc by the time I came up with it I was done with highschool, but it's worked well so far. I drop whatever else I'm doing for about 30 minutes, usually listening to music during, then pick it back up right where i left off In general, it's very rare that my attention is solely focused on one thing, even things I like. So I split my attention purposely. Music when I'm drawing, writing, or reading. Simple phone games when I'm listening to something (I've gotten really good at minesweeper). If I don't split my attention on purpose, I might get distracted easier. Of course there's always hyperfocusing, but that's unreliable at best and it might backfire Another general thing, caffeine could help. Caffeine is a stimulant, a weaker one than Adderall and other ADHD medicines, but it can help soften symptoms for a few hours. Caffeine affects ADHD people differently, I should know, my mom self medicated with coffee for years, and it worked to an extent. It's not a perfect solution, but I've found a good amount of caffeine can help a lot with focus, and I don't get hyper from it. In fact, sometimes in my early teens, I'd have a can of soda just before bed to help me sleep. I don't recommend overdoing caffeine, having an overactive heart is not pleasant. I'm not more hyper on caffeine, even when I've had way too much, but a racing heart when you've barely moved in hours and your mind is mush isn't something I'd like to repeat if I can avoid it
