@Son Europa Yes, you are absolutely right. It was me, who was not enough clear. I was referring to the parts played by specific musicians, as the harpist, or the oboe, or the violin, and the orchestra lowers their volume. Is it more acceptable after this explanation? About the recording, there are countless professionals doing their jobs, most of them very good. However, I've found this recording exceptionally good. The camera director must know the musical piece like his own hand.... the cameras are focusing individual musicians a tenth of a second before they play their parts. Excellent.!

Wow. I was born in 1984 and was lucky enough to grab a CD from a remaster of a 1957 recording of Beecham's "Scheherazade" as a young teen. In retrospect, many years and even decades later, became my "standard" where I would compare all the performances I would listen by. I was lucky enough to be around 28 and go into a concert in Brussels featuring a wonderful rendition as well. Now, in the age of internet and KZbin, I can feel this orchestra is likely not the most experienced, lots of young people out here. You know what? They still provide a majestic overall performance. If every young person in their countries can attain this level of individual musicianship and then overall the ability to play together as an orchestra I am overwhelmed and overjoyed in happiness. I'm moved by their performance. Understand, finally, that I have no classical music training whatsoever - I'm just a fan and can feel the overall performance. Cheers everyone. Also: so many girls involved. It's so hard in these to know to properly speak about it - I'm just glad lots of girls are included and seemingly are in it earnestly - all I want is earnest people in it. Cheers.

Besides the excellent performance, I have to comment on the fantastic camera work! The Scheherezade is my favorite classical piece, and I've been working my way through all the videos of it that I can find. The videographer / video editor did a great job of capturing the soloists and sections as they were playing their solos and key parts, rather than being focused off in some other part of the orchestra. Videos of even some major orchestras haven't managed that; this is the best I've seen.

What an amazing, flawless performance from this school orchestra. This has to be one of the best recordings of Sheherazde. Some superb soloists; the concertmaster, the trumpet, the oboe, the clarinet and the one who rarely gets a mention - the bassoon.
