when it detects motion to trigger the light, does it also send a notification through the app that motion was detected?

Is the bridge just to download the app? I mainly just need a light with a good motion sensor, what would I need the app for in terms of just light ?

Yeah the bridge is to connect the light to your Ring System and allows you to be able to change the settings and get alerts. Not sure how useful this light would be without it as there’s no setting buttons on the light itself.

If i already have the Ring wired security camera can i just sink to Ring app of the security camera without having to get the bridge.

Nope, you need the bridge to connect the solar motion light to the Ring app

How do you know if the solar panel has power ?

You’ll be able to tell as it starts charging as soon as it’s plugged in and you can see in the app if it’s charging. Mine stays at 100% now most days.

If the electricity goes out, bridge stops working…so the light stops working?

Yep it’ll just act as a motion flood light just no app features and it’ll still charge.
