Ah now, who let the planning through for houses to be built that close to a proposed motorway. 0:49 lol kids don’t kick the ball too high as it might gover over the back garden fence onto the motorway. Sorry but there is some clowns in public office but worse some clowns as architects and greedy developers 😂 that’s crazy move the motorway another 500meters east of this view and it’s empty with no houses. You still buying up farmland it’s just abit further away from houses haha Just found your channel starting to like it. It’s shows clearly as you are flying from above how stupid planning is in Ireland. You wouldn’t notice this from ground level. Keep it up 👍 0:49

Meanwhile the old IFI plant in Cobh lies idle which could have been a much easier location to develop for a container terminal. We can’t seem to plan properly in this country.

The road won’t be a “Motorway” at this location. It will be a single carriageway from the Barnahely roundabout as far as the port of cork. You should do some research before you post giving out about planners as it’s obvious you don’t know what you are talking about.

@ A massive road infrastructure going from Ringaskiddy up to the cork tunnel does not make sense considering that easier options existed. Typical Ireland, all we are good at is building roads.

@tombarry2523 IFI site will never be developed. Passage all ready complaining about noise from generators on the MV Mathew tied up at Marino. Imagine what they'd do if there was a container facility trundling away all night offloading steel containers.

Some great shots 👌unreal how long there messing around with this road instead of just getting on with it as its badly neeeded.soresens seem to be the new road bridge getting all fhe big contracts now .

Did this project include a rail element? The port needs to be connected to the rail network.

Yes, building a raised motorway so that the traffic noise will be easily heard by all the houses who live nearby. Progress at the loss of quality of life for all who live in its path. As they say in the Star Trek song, 'it's life Jim but not as we know it'.!!!

This initial section is being done by Sorensen . It's only 1.5km of single carriageway road , and they've 20 months to do it , so a small crew will suffice for now. The main contract for the motorway hasn't been greenlit yet .

As usual with every big road project in ireland the Italians are more than likely building it
