Congratulations. I must admit I love the last picture most in this movie ;) A happy and long life together and a never ending interest in medieval wrestling.

What is the name of that kampfringen book (at 0:43 into the video)and where did you get it? I've been looking for books on this subject but at best I've just found fragmented sources on unarmed combat. Thanks.

First, let me remark on the last: congratulations! May your future in the marital arts be even greater than your accomplishments in the martial arts. I always enjoy these demonstrations. I'm not a martial artist in any style or tradition, but it's clear that there are similarities between this and some of the other traditions out there. The human body is built the same on every continent, so some things will show up over and over. Where things are NOT the same would be interesting.

he doesn't get leverage from the elbow its just simple kung fu trick he just simply pushes his first 2 fingers in to the hollow part of the throat under the adams apple(just at the bottom of the throat where its conecting to the torso) although in kung fu we were told that its not a push rather a thrust

Congratulations - enjoy your lives together, I wish you both ever happiness. Good techniques and music thanks for uploading. Great nation and a beautiful country; Germany is the heart of the European social market and culture, brother nation of the English people since 449. I've had many good holidays there I hope you enjoy your honeymoon. Is Nuremberg in Bavaria? I am more familiar with Lower Saxony but Germany is a big land area.

This technique is strangely illustrated in several books. The description mentions that this is a secret technique that should not be shown to the public.

First of all, thank you for these videos, I have been learning from them for so long. Secondly, I live in Portugual, and it is my life-long dream to fence/wrestle HEMA, but I have no idea where to find a school or group for this, I used to buy wooden swords at renessaice fairs, but they broke rather easly. Anyway, if anyone knows of a school or group of this in Portugual I would appreaciate if you to share the knowlege. Also, somewhere I can buy a wooden lonsword replica. THANK YOU!

Also, the picture in 2:08 shows an elbow on top of the grabbing arm, as far as I can tell. Is there a reason this doesnt happen in your interpretation?

is there any hand to hand and feet kicking in medieval martial arts?
@oceanberserker6 жыл бұрын
chaos lord Not as such. Bare handed striking and kicking was kept ad minimum when the opponents you were fighting were in armor of some sort.
@MEMAG12 жыл бұрын
This is a pain compliance counter. Essentially you are just jabbing the opponent in the throat with a finger or thumb.

@leaksson93 Yup. Name your city.

you should not purposefully fall over like that because if you do you won't know if your technique reaaly works or not!!

Yes, but the fight pretty much always ends up in grappling.

well its not a kung fu trick considering this is not kung fu and the method was not taken from kung fu
