Hackaday just posted a link to kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpPMl2loo69ojsk in which the builder had some trouble with apparently fake multiplier chips that were prone to overheating. Click through to the schematics and sure enough, they're (supposed to be) AD633. It’s painful to pay Analog Devices prices for genuine AD633 chips, but at least they work!
