I'm 68 years old and my grandmother took me to see the circus when I was a 3 years old. I'm surprised this video touches me in the way it does especially with the people waving from the cars.Funny how things stay with you.

It always boggles my mind how the circus could move all that stuff around by rail in this day and age. It's sad to see the people waving from the dutch door vestibules. One lady looked as if she had her costume on. They're all out of work. Many of them lived on the train, so they have no home, either. Great video, but really sad to see it go.

I don't think I've ever seen a circus train, but under these circumstances I wouldn't care to. I'm glad you got to see it. Two of the coaches from the train have been bought by our local RR historical society and will be used in excursion service.

I don't think people have fully grasped the magnitude of what we have lost as a nation with the closing of Ringling. I especially worry about the circus workers like yourself and hope that things will work out for them. Losing a job is one thing but losing your home has to be devastating. Thanks and God bless for helping to keep the circus tradition alive as long as possible.
