thank you Robert. Well there's no more circus, last show was in 2007. Animal rights issues and other things did it in. the only thing we have left is the model. It's kind of shame. Thanks for taking the time to view and comment my friend. have a good rest of the week..

Great video! I lived in Sarasota for many years and when I first moved there the culture of the community (Sarasota and especially Venice) were very focused on Ringling Brothers. I never saw this exhibit until your video - so thank you for sharing. Of course - today - Sarasota is very different, aside from the tremendous growth - the culture is no longer focused on Ringling and in fact - this is now a part of this community's direct past. Thank you for the great reminder of the depth and excitement this community use to have.
@JohnCRV6 жыл бұрын
Hey Pat, your comment is true unfortunately, but maybe with these videos and others we can remind some people that today’s commodities, Art, development, ideas came from the past people that did give back to the community. I try very hard without offending anyone that we owe some gratitude to our past generation and should keep the good values going. All we can do is put it out there, if it touches one person we will have accomplished something. In all fairness there’s other areas in Florida that are succeeding in keeping the good traditions of the past alive as well. For now. Thank you so much for your great comment. Safe travels out there.

Fantastic! I would love to see this! 1:16 scale is small! The average is 1:12, although it varies. I'll have to ask my Mom if she's familiar with it as she's a professional miniature artist. She now specializes in miniature readable books (you might need a microscope lol) and is in the top 5 internationally .😊 Lol, I've grown up with miniatures all around so these are always interesting! Especially when someone sticks so closely to proper scale and period! Great video footage and narration! Look forward to seeing more! Supporting and thumbs up!
@JohnCRV6 жыл бұрын
WOW, Its like you came out of my video of "Ringling Museum of Art" it's before this video, there is a bust statue of Lucrezia Borgia the Ringlings brought back from Italy in the 20s in the museum and I felt bad not mentioning who she was since I only mentioned a few main art pieces and let the background music do the rest. Now you appear out of nowhere with the Borgia name LOL. Sorry but I have to ask if that is your real name? On the 1/16 scale of the model its amazing what Tibbals accomplished I had heard about it before but never imagined this and I only showed a very small part, it would have taken an hour or more to show the whole set. If your Mom is a specialist in miniatures she must have heard about this., It is my understanding that Howard Tibbals is still making pieces to add to this collection. Thank you for your comment and interest and you do not have to answer if Borgia is your real name if uncomfortable doing so but i just had to tell you that story. My son even mentioned why I dint since i am Italian. You take care Lucrezia I mean Lady Borgia LOL
@LadyBorgia6 жыл бұрын
John C RV Isn't that something! The world works in the most interesting ways.😊 She was quite a strong and intelligent lady and it seems she found her way to speak up through her familyl!😊👍 Yes, Borgia is my real name and I am a descendant of Pope Alexander VI/ Rodrigo Borgia. No worries, I put it discreetly near the end of my 'About' in a humorous way, so it is already public knowledge.😊 (Although, I appreciate your consideration for my privacy.) My Father was the first generation born here so we haven't been in the States a tremendous amount of time as a family and I was raised very European in many ways. I have no amazing story of how they came to the States though, as they arrived by Italian Luxury Cruise liner......even though my Aunt had hoped for something more dramatic and involving Ellis Island (it was already out of service and she was 5 yo eating rice at the Captain's table on an Italian luxery liner bc she never liked pasta lolololol😁😂😂😂😂 Its a funny story in our family as my Mother and I took her to visit Ellis Island on her request during a visit and she was upset about not remembering anything....well until my Father returned home and explained to her she had never been there.😊😂😂 It is quite an interesting family history to have (when we did a large report on our ancestors in late elementary school, I was lucky enough to have book after book on my family and interesting facts like Leonardo Da Vinci worked as a military strategist for my family.😊👍) I also have some interesting ancestors on my paternal Grandmother's side and well kept records on my Mom's side going back 500 years. Now I am even more interested in visiting! I will most definitely ask my Mother! She is recovering from the flu so I will wait until she's feeling a bit better.😊😊😊❤👍👍👍
@JohnCRV6 жыл бұрын
I never seen this reply until now while browsing in comments. WOW, that’s quite some history. I was born there, came over when I was 10. Although my grandfather was here before WW1 and went back to join the Italian army and never came back to the states after the war. You have quite some history in your family, love to hear things like that. Your aunt not liking pasta LOL and thought she landed on Ellis Island, that’s funny because when I came over and while learning English other kids use to make fun of me and say things like “ this Guinny just came off the boat” I use to tell them I flew here by plane!!! The last thing I seen was Da Vinci statue at the Fiumicino airport in Rome. Da Vinci was very close to your family, I read a lot on him, he was a very complicated man but that’s what made him a genius. Thank you for your response and my apologies for not seeing this, I probably never got YT notification by email and never noticed the reply until now. Can’t wait to tell my kids I know a Borgia descendent ;) they love history like me. Have a great day.

The Lady Borgia This is easily my favorite part of the Museum. I've been there many times. There is the main museum which holds the typical paintings, sculptures, artifacts etc... There is the circus museum where you can see costumes and real train cars and Mabel Ringlin's sleeping car. On the property, you can see her rose garden and the banyon tree that was a gift from Hemingway. There is more but as I said, Tibbals is the best museum. You can spend hours and continuously see new tiny adventures. I hope you get to see it.

Thanks for dropping in guys, yes he was a very passionate man to do this his whole life.
