I am at the end of my life, as I have advanced cancer. With so little time, this beautiful music was very moving from my favourite group. I will always have fond memories of all the joy you've given me. Thank you Rasmus, Emanuel, Didier, Jakob and Martin. Many blessings for the rest of your lives and careers. ❤

Danced at my wedding with my grandmother to this song after my mother's sudden passing months prior. And now my favorite group made it their own. Thank you for this.

Such a beautiful song. Emanuel, your realization about the lyrics is touching and beautiful. I imagine the lyrics tend to affect parents and non-parents alike. Thanks for doing this piece. I have always hoped Ringmasters would record it. ❤

I LOVE this song...and you did such a beautiful cover arrangement of it. It was mesmerizing...stunning! Billy Joel will be honored! You are beyond amazing! Was so happy to see you had a new video up AND of a song I KNEW you would master! Thank you! Going to sleep with this melody in my head, but first had to share it with our adult children who have children of their own. 💕😴

Timeless Billy Joel, achingly gorgeous rendition. Thanks, brothers. 🙏 Btw, Emanuel - look up Sara Groves, Wonderful World. She straight loses it in the third verse. And her child is right there, singing. Of course! ❤️

I've already listened to this like 10 times in the last hour. I'm a baritone myself but I can't sing at all for over 3 months now due to a laryngitis. I don't know how long this will last and I miss singing so so much. Emanuel you did such an amazing job ❤. One can really hear how much emotions you put in. I can't wait to try and sing this song like you

Lyrics Goodnight my angel, time to close your eyes And save these questions for another day I think I know what you've been asking me I think you know what I've been trying to say I promised I would never leave you Then you should always know Wherever you may go, no matter where you are I never will be far away Goodnight my angel, now it's time to sleep And still so many things I want to say Remember all the songs you sang for me When we went sailing on an emerald bay And like a boat out on the ocean I'm rocking you to sleep The water's dark and deep, inside this ancient heart You'll always be a part of me Goodnight my angel, now it's time to dream And dream how wonderful your life will be Someday your child may cry, and if you sing this lullaby Then in your heart there will always be a part of me Someday we'll all be gone But lullabies go on and on They never die That's how you and I will be

Absolutely stunning. I first heard it on GHG’s album when it was first released. Over time this song has grown to have new meaning, for a lot of people, as we experience new aspects of life (whether the birth of a child or the loss of a family member). I got goosebumps within the first 30 seconds and they stayed throughout the entire video. Very well done

Who's singing the lead?
@Honey_Beef10 ай бұрын
Emanuel, the one on the far left and facing away from camera on the wide shots. Usually, (L) Emanuel - Didier - Rasmus - Jakob (R) are the baritone - bass - lead - tenor respectively. But they are so versatile that they often just switch up the top three parts nowadays. Still, it's usually between Jakob and Rasmus on lead, so hearing Emanuel on lead is soooo refreshing and so good! Here's to hoping for more Emanuel lead...

@@Honey_Beef Emanuel also sings lead on most of the “Notre Dame Medley”, and he’s fantastic as the lead on “All Shook Up” and “Teddy Bear”.
