I remember seeing them on the TV news as they arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport on February 7 1964. And February 9th 1964 seeing The Beatles play on the Ed Sullivan television show. Richard Nixon's daughters, Julia and Tricia, were there having been invited by Jack Paar's daughter Randy. The Beatles opened with "All My Loving", followed by "Till There Was You" and "She Loves You". They returned later in the program and played "I Saw Her Standing There" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand".

He may have had a top ten list, 'the top ten most annoying things about being Beatle Dave'. I'll start- 10) The shirt collars irritate my neck. 9) George constantly accusing me of dating his sister. 8) Paul frequently stealing my girlfriends. I don't care that they go willingly. 7) John always mocking me about my gap teeth. Tells me I ought to go see a 'Doctor Robert'? 6) George Martin's constant threats about how Billy Preston should have my gig. 5) Ringo snores 4) The four of them taunting me about not dropping acid. 3) The four of them taunting me about being from Indiana. 2) Hotel management thinking I'm the band's luggage handler 1) Being 'Beatle Dave'.

If you watch the first interview with The Beatles when they landed the American press are actually really hostile. Over the years I saw it many times and they always cut out the hostility and mocking of them. Now you can watch it in full and one guy asks them "are you guys for real" in a dismissing rude way and another tells them to "get a haircut." It's funny to see it and there is one guy complaining that they will take money out of the country when the economy isn't doing well. If they are alive somewhere there are guys who got to ask The Beatles a question when they first arrived and instead insulted them.

But it's not the real Ringo. His name was Mark (last name unknown) He disappeared in a van after Candlestick Park in 1966 along with the other 3 real Beatles - "John" (Colin Unwin), "Paul" (John Haliday) and George (Terry Johnston) It's being said that the real Beatles got through a portal to the Doom Dimension after getting inside that rusty van in 66. The contract they signed in the early sixties said that when they felt tired and wanted to stop, they must meet their creator. The guy you are watching in this is interview is Fingo who along with Fohn, Faul (Billy Shepherd) and Feorge continued The Featles in 1967 and made Sgt Pepper and all those crappy records. It's being said that Colin made it through those evil portal's and now guides Beatles tourists at "John's" childhood home in Liverpool.

People need to step back and remember just how massive and important the Beatles were to the world at that critical time in our history. Their talent, melodies, harmony, and charisma were so captivating to the youth, that one could sense a gift from God to the world at that moment. JFK's head had just been exploded, and secret efforts were being made to blame communists....an effort which could have sparked WWIII and the world's end. Instead, MILLIONS became enraptured by the Beatles and many were inspired to pick up guitars and drumsticks, instead of rifles and bayonets.....like many previous generations did. This happened on BOTH sides of the "Iron Curtain". How ironic that the Beatles got their start, and perfected their skills ....among new, young friends...in the home of England's mortal enemy only 15 years before : Hamburg , Germany. Where allied bombers had caused a massive, hellish firestorm that melted steel beams and incinerated thousands in a funeral pyre where flames reached 10,000 feet into the air !! I believe their magic music and unforgettable image and effect was no accident...the "Big Man" upstairs gave them something special to raise their talent above the rest, to help our world feel HIS spirit of love in our lives, and to not embrace war and killing.

Despite Ed Sullivan's much-parodied wooden public persona, he had made his name in the 1930's as an influential New York City showbiz reporter/gossip columnist who developed a reputation as a star-maker, and as such had insider connections few of his peers enjoyed. It's not unreasonable to assume that a major factor in his landing a cushy job in the infant medium of 1948 network television was his ability to book guest stars who would otherwise never consider lowering themselves to such an appearance. He was shrewd enough to schedule the Beatles' appearances (at a bargain price) when they were still unknown in America, having had only two flop singles released on small indie labels after British parent label EMI's USA distributor Capitol passed. He had seen enough in British TV appearances to know they'd be huge.
